I came to Venus having read about molecules and the importance of set and setting but otherwise not knowing what to expect. Her warmth and wisdom immediately put me at ease. Each journey has been profound—often beautiful, others challenging in revisiting painful experiences from the past or seeing parts of myself I’d rather look past. The molecules are incredible teachers, but the lessons aren’t always easy. Venus was a rock—her grace, wisdom, and ability to hold space made the difficult moments bearable, and during the beautiful moments I knew my joy was shared. I can’t imagine navigating those spaces without her. I first saw Venus about 2 years ago; the transformations since then have been nothing short of life altering. The nightmares and flashbacks seem like a distant memory, and I now face each day with equanimity rather than anxiety about the things I can’t control. The water treatments were a revelation. I was shocked (and, yes, a little grossed out by the worms!) but the detox left me feeling purified and renewed. I had struggled with eating disorders through my 20s but didn’t realize how many issues related to food and body images lingered even though I was no longer anorexic or bulimic. It’s incredible to finally feel at home in my own skin for the first time since I was a kid. Venus started out as a trusted guide but has become a cherished friend whose spirit and grace I am truly grateful to have in my life.
